Army Ranks are basically based on British Army Ranks structure, although ranks
structure for other ranks personnel and insignia are different.
Pakistan Army Ranks are divided into two different kinds such as Officers Ranks beginning from Field Marshal to Second Lieutenant. Similarly, Non-Commissioned Officers ranks begin with Subedar-Major / Risaldar-Major to Sepoy/Soldier and then there are a few other ranks from Battalion Havildar Major to Company Quartermaster Havildar.
Here, BPS refers to Basic Pascale. Salaries of every rank vary accordingly to its BPS. In case of some particular conditions such as posting in War-Zones, a soldier will get few allowances.

Fields Marshal Ayub khan is the only one who got such a
highest rank in the history of Pak Army. He appointed himself as Field Marshal
of Pakistan while serving as President of Pakistan. Field marshal is one of the
highest ranks of Pakistan Army.
General:

One Pip
A General commands an Army consists of 500k trained army
personnel. Besides this, 4 Stars General can rule the country or can be the
Chief of the Joint Staff Committee.
Currently, Gen Nadeem Raza is the CJSC of the Pakistan Army. CJSC leads the meetings and coordinates collective efforts of all the forces including Para-Military forces. However, the chief has no authority of command over different forces. It is nominated by Prime Minister and then finally appointed by the President of Pakistan and has a term length of 3 years.
