To be the part of Pak Army is the dream of every Pakistani. Pakistan Army is the only Army is in the world with zero percent Suicide rate. Every Soldier is always willing to sacrifice his life for his country. Pakistan Army recruits courageous, highly motivated people capable of bearing the harsh life of the Army.

There are several routes by which you can be a part of it. However, most people are only aware of just a few entry routes

Nationality

Citizen of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad-Kashmir / Gilgit-Baltistan. Candidates with dual nationality to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani upon final selection.

Ineligibility:


·         Aspirants who are twice not Recommended by ISSB/GHQ Selection and review board. (for  PMA L/C, TCC, Graduate Course or AM Cadet)
·         Those who are declared medically unfit by Military Hospital/ Appeal Medical Board.
·         Enrolled Cadets and recruits withdrew/ resigned /discharged /dismissed from Armed Forces on the ground of discipline, character, medical, inefficiency, weak profile, or declared unsuitable.
·         Those who are convicted by a court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
·         An individual removed from any other Government Service.

 The following are various gateways on How to Join Pak Army at different ranks and its requirements.

1.       Regular Commission/ Commissioned Officer
2.       Short Service Commission
3.       As Soldier

                                Join Pakistan Army After Intermediate

Direct Entry by Regular Commission

Regular Commission is for those who consider themselves capable of being an officer. There are further four more categories in regular commission also which are as follows
I.        PMA Long Course
II.      Technical Cadet Course
III.    Army Medical Cadet Course
IV.    Armed Forces Nursing Services

PMA Long Course:


All such candidates who are done with Intermediate, Graduation, or serving Army Soldiers are eligible for it. Candidate must be 17 to 22 years old. However, age relaxation can be granted in certain conditions. Only the male and unmarried candidates can apply. After clearing the initial preliminary tests, candidates are invited to different ISSB stations. Shortlisted candidates go through 2 years of Military training at PMA.
Gender: Male

Technical Cadet Course:


Technical Cadet Course is for the students of FSc Pre-Engineering. Selected students from ISSB study engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Computer, Telecom, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering from Military colleges affiliated with NUST. After completion of the degree, Cadets get one year of Military Training provided at PMA.

Army Medical Cadet Course:


Those who have completed FSc Pre-Medical are capable of applying for AM cadet course. Shortlisted Candidates are required to study MBBS or BDS from Army Medical College Rawalpindi. After completion of the degree, 22 weeks of Military training is also provided to them by PMA.

AFNS:


Pre-medical students and registered nurses can apply for armed forced nursing services. Selected Candidates require to study BSc Nursing at different Armed Forces Colleges. They undergo four weeks of basic military training.


                                   How to Join Pak Army After Graduation

Short Service Regular Commission:

SSRC is the route for Medical Professionals to join Pakistan Army after graduation.

GDMOs / Specialists:


MBBS degree holders or Medical specialists can apply for SSRC.

Direct Short Service Commission:


DSSC mainly provides support to soldiers, officers, and their families. Its various gateways are as follows

·         Army Education Core
·         Ordnance
·         Lady Cadet Course
·         Psychologist
·         ICTOs

Army Education Corp:


Those who are having an MSC degree in specific fields can apply as a teacher which fall in the category of Army Education Corp.

Ordnance:


BE or BSc Textile / Leather degree holders can apply for Ordnance corps.

Lady Cadet Course:


Sixteen years of education as a regular student with minimum CGPA 3 out of 4 or a minimum of 60% marks in the annual system are eligible for LCC.

Psychologist:


Those are having an MSc degree in General Psychology, or Clinical Psychology is capable of applying for posts of Psychologists.

RV&FC:


RV&FC is for DVM degree holders who are registered with a PVMC degree holder.

ICTOs:


Those having a bachelor/Master's Degree in Software Engineering, CS, MS-IT, BS-IT or MS in Information Security is eligible for the Corps of Signal.

          How to Join Pak Army After Matric Soldiers:

Matric degree holders are eligible for becoming the Soldier. Candidate should be unmarried and 17 to 23 years old. However, age relaxation can be granted for candidates belong to Balochistan, Fata, or Gilgit-Baltistan.
